This policy explains what personal information DDM Bin Rentals collects when you book a bin or contact us, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who we are
This policy applies to DDM Bin Rentals and the bin-rental services provided through this website. Privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints can be sent to info@ddmbinrentals.com, by calling 416-288-8485, or by mail to 130 Barbados Blvd, Scarborough, ON M1J 1K9.
What we collect
When you book a bin we collect your name, phone number, email address, company name if you give one, the delivery address including city and postal code, any access or placement instructions you add, and your chosen delivery and pickup dates.
When you pay your card details are entered directly into a form hosted by our payment processor, Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers and we never store them. We receive confirmation of the outcome, the card brand and the last four digits, which appear on your order for reference.
When you use the contact form we collect the name, email, phone number and message you submit, and your answer to “Where did you hear about us?”
Automatically, our web host records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our site sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for the booking basket to work.
Why we use it
- To deliver a bin to your address and collect it again.
- To take payment for your rental.
- To contact you about your booking, including delivery and pickup timing.
- To answer enquiries you send us.
- To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Stripe processes card payments on our behalf. Stripe is subject to its own privacy policy.
- Our email provider delivers booking confirmations and enquiry notifications.
- Our drivers and dispatch staff receive the delivery address and access instructions so they can complete your booking.
Our hosting, payment and email providers may process personal information only as needed to provide their services to us. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel or another advertising or analytics tracker on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and obtain any consent required by law before using non-essential tracking technologies.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function — they remember the contents of your booking basket and keep your session active while you complete checkout. We do not currently set advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep completed booking, invoice and payment records for six years after the end of the tax year to which they relate, or longer only when required by law or an unresolved claim. Other personal information, including an enquiry that does not become a booking, is kept only while it is needed to answer the enquiry, provide the service or meet a legal obligation. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, subject to normal backup cycles and legal requirements.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or withdraw your consent to our using it — though we may then be unable to provide the service. Contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, the revised policy will be posted on this page. We will communicate material changes where appropriate.
